Urban SDK Partners With Northglenn

The City of Northglenn, Colorado, with a population of 38,000, has joined forces with Urban SDK to address critical traffic safety issues and identify high-risk hotspots throughout the city.

Northglenn becomes the eighth organization in Colorado to implement Urban SDK’s cutting-edge traffic management platform, joining nearby communities such as Westminster, Littleton, and Erie. This partnership will bolster the city’s traffic enforcement strategies, improve traffic calming measures, and deliver more efficient data-driven decision-making processes.

Northglenn faces challenges similar to other growing cities—balancing the need for safe and efficient roadways with the demands of an expanding population and increased vehicular traffic.

The city is taking proactive measures to ensure safety on its streets by utilizing Urban SDK’s traffic management platform to better manage and mitigate issues related to speeding and congestion.

Urban SDK’s platform provides Northglenn with access to traffic speed data, traffic volumes, and enforcement insights. The platform’s ability to identify traffic hotspots — areas where incidents or violations occur more frequently — will play a vital role in targeting problem areas for intervention, enabling more effective traffic calming solutions.

“We are excited to partner with Northglenn as they continue their efforts to create safer streets for their residents," said Urban SDK’s Eric Wingbermuehle. "[Our] platform will help the city identify problem areas quickly, allowing for timely interventions that can save lives and reduce traffic incidents."

Urban SDK’s traffic management platform enables cities like Northglenn to monitor traffic patterns, manage enforcement strategies, and create customized reports based on traffic speed data and volumes. With the capability to visualize high-risk areas and determine the best places to implement traffic calming measures, the city will be able to take targeted actions to reduce speeding, prevent accidents, and ensure the safety of its residents.

In addition to these critical functions, Northglenn will have the ability to gather comprehensive data on traffic safety, ensuring that decision-makers are equipped with the insights needed to respond quickly to emerging issues.

By using Urban SDK’s platform to integrate traffic speed data with historical patterns and real-time reporting, Northglenn is positioning itself as a leader in public safety innovation within the state of Colorado.

The addition of Northglenn to Urban SDK’s network demonstrates the growing importance of data-driven solutions in addressing urban transportation challenges. By joining forces with Urban SDK, the City of Northglenn is committing to smarter, safer roads for the future.

Added Wingbermuehle, "Northglenn is setting an example by leveraging data to improve public safety, and we’re thrilled to support them in this mission.”
