Urban SDK is proud to welcome Valley County, Idaho, as its latest partner in Idaho, adding to its growing presence across the state.
Known for its beautiful mountainous terrain and rural roads, Valley County faces unique challenges in managing traffic speed and safety. Through this partnership, the county can now leverage Urban SDK's innovative traffic management platform to handle public speeding complaints, enforce traffic calming measures, and gather critical traffic speed data for both immediate and long-term infrastructure assessments.
With this new partnership, Valley County joins the Lewis and Clark Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) as part of Urban SDK's Idaho customer base. The company’s advanced data platform is designed to support the needs of local governments by providing actionable data for traffic volumes, traffic safety, and traffic enforcement across diverse environments.
“Urban SDK is excited to support Valley County, Idaho, with their traffic management needs,” said Urban SDK's Ross Loehr. “Whether it’s addressing public speeding concerns, enforcing safety measures, or gathering precise data for infrastructure planning, we’re here to help Valley County shape a safer, more responsive transportation network."
Valley County experiences regular public speeding complaints across its road network. Urban SDK’s platform allows the county to collect and analyze traffic speed data in real-time, enabling officials to identify speed hotspots and enforce targeted traffic calming solutions where needed.
The platform’s data visualization tools make it easy to present findings to the community, explaining how speeding concerns are being addressed and reassuring residents about safety improvements.
In addition to everyday traffic concerns, Valley County has a unique project involving a major gold mine. This project requires detailed traffic data to meet bonding and regulatory requirements, especially concerning one specific route impacted by mining operations.
Urban SDK's platform will provide Valley County with the data needed to monitor before-and-after construction impacts and to ensure minimal disruption to local communities.
Furthermore, the data generated will aid the county in conducting long-term impact assessments over the next 15-20 years. This data will provide insights on how new developments and road improvements affect traffic flow, allowing Valley County to make informed decisions on future infrastructure projects.
Urban SDK’s presence in Idaho continues to grow with Valley County joining alongside other Idaho clients like the Lewis and Clark MPO.
With the company’s headquarters located in the nearby Pacific Northwest, Urban SDK is well-positioned to support the unique needs of municipalities in mountainous and rural regions like Valley County.
"Our continued growth in Idaho and the Mountain West region reflects the trust municipalities place in our platform to improve safety and traffic efficiency,” added Loehr.
Urban SDK is a leading data analytics and visualization platform, designed to support local governments, metropolitan planning organizations, and other public agencies in creating safer and more efficient transportation networks. By harnessing real-time data and actionable insights, Urban SDK helps communities address traffic concerns, improve safety, and plan for the future. With a growing list of customers across the U.S., Urban SDK is dedicated to transforming data into smarter city solutions.
